If your domain is registered with another company, you can usually keep it there and point it to your AJCHost hosting account.
1. Find the exact nameservers or DNS records assigned to your hosting account. Check your welcome email or hosting service details. Always use the values supplied for your account.
2. Sign in to the company where you registered your domain.
3. Open the domain management page and locate its nameserver or DNS settings.
4. If you are changing nameservers, enter the AJCHost-provided nameservers exactly and save. If you are using DNS records instead, follow the specific records and values supplied for your setup.
5. Allow time for DNS changes to propagate. Some changes appear quickly, while others can take up to 24–48 hours to be visible across different networks.
6. Test your domain in a browser after the change.
Important: changing nameservers can affect existing website, email, and verification records. Before switching, make sure any DNS records you need have been recreated in the new DNS zone. If you are unsure, contact support before making the change.
